Do you want to see a preview of the YouTube video before you hit the play button? Actually, there are some video sharing sites like Dailymotion that animate the thumbnails of the video when mouseover it to see its preview so that at least you can have an idea of what the video is all about. But sadly, the most popular video sharing site – Youtube, doesn’t have this feature. However, if you’re using Firefox, Google Chrome or any browser that supports Greasemonkey script, you can install YouTube Thumbs.
What is YouTube Thumbs:
It is a small Greasemonkey script that can animate thumbs in YouTube when mouseover it.
How to install YouTube Thumbs in Firefox:
1. Download and install Greasemonkey (if you don’t have it yet). Once installed, restart your browser.
2. Go to http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/58931 and install the script.
That’s it! Now, test it in YouTube and I’m sure you’ll like it!
How to install YouTube Thumbs in Chrome:
1. Unlike Firefox, you don’t have to install Greasemonkey in Chrome. You can directly install the script. Just go to http://bit.ly/bbO46Q and install it.
That’s it! Now go to YouTube and test the script.
For Internet Explorer users, download and install the Greasemonkey extension and install YouTube Thumbs script.
