If you own a company, then it is a must to have your own website so that a lot of people can reach you easily. You can also create a blog if you need extra cash or sideline because if you don’t know yet, many bloggers are now earning hundreds or thousands of dollars a month from their blog!
There are a lot of websites out there that let you create your own website or blog for free! Now, if you don’t have the time or the knowledge on how to create your own website, you can hire other people to do it for you.
Here is a list of the most popular websites that let you create your own website/blog for free:
1. Blogger
2. WordPress
3. Weebly
4. Webs
5. Webnode
6. Wix
7. WetPaint
8. Joomla
9. Drupal
If you’re planning to create a website for your business or company, I highly recommend that you choose the self-hosted WordPress because it’s so easy to use, there are a lot of plugins to choose from, and it allows you to fully customize your template! And it looks more professional because it doesn’t have “.blogspot” or “.webs” on the URL.
Note: The self-hosted WordPress isn’t totally free because you have to pay for your hosting provider (about $3 to $10/month depending on the hosting provider you choose).

Very informative post Christian. Of all the things you mention, I love self hosted WordPress. But unfortunately, WordPress is designed for blog and it is not appropriate for any other form of online presence. Drupal and Joomla are excellent if you go e-commerce. If you are particular about performance and flexibility specially on large website, you need to consider Drupal seriously.
BTW, I am running a web hosting business at http://mathalino.net and we also offer free assistance to our clients to get them started.
I hope the Christian will retain my link to Mathalino.net but if he choose to remove it, it's okey for me, I understand because I am a blogger too.

LikeHi Sir! Why would I remove the link to your web hosting business? It's alright for me! And thank you for that info sir! I'm quite not familiar with Joomla and Drupal that's why I didn't "highly" recommend those. Again, thanks for visiting my blog sir.
