Are you the type of person who always makes typos? Just to inform everyone what “typo” is:
A typographical error (often shortened to typo) is a mistake made in, originally, the manual type-setting (typography) of printed material, or more recently, the typing process. The term includes errors due to mechanical failure or slips of the hand or finger, but excludes errors of ignorance.
There are a lot of people who type “google.con” instead of “google.com” in the address bar and this is one example of a typo. If you always commit this kind of error, I recommend you to install URL Fixer, a Firefox add-on that can auto-correct your errors you enter on your address bar, or you can have it ask you before making any corrections.
How to use URL Fixer:
1. Install URL Fixer. Once installed, restart your browser.
2. From now on, it will fix errors you type in your address bar. For example: “youtube, con” instead of “youtube.com”.
3. If you want URL Fixer to auto-correct your errors, without asking for your confirmation, you can do it by right-clicking on the address bar and uncheck Confirm corrections.
This is a very simple but a must-have plugin for every Firefox users. I’m sure everyone will find it very useful.
