There are a lot of ways to use Taggable and the simplest is by using the bookmarklet. Just drag and drop the bookmarklet below to your bookmarks toolbar and when you want to tag your Facebook friends, just click the bookmarklet.

If you’re using Firefox, you can download and install the Taggable addon.

If you’re using Greasemonkey, you can download its userscript.

How to use Taggable:

For example you’re on Flickr and you found a cute picture and you want to tag your Facebook friends, just click the Taggable button and a new window will open.

1. Click Login with Facebook.

2. Login with your Facebook account. Taggable will ask for your permission to authorize it, click Allow.

3. Start tagging your Facebook friends by typing their names in the box. When you’re done, click Tag Them!

5. Taggable will ask for your permission to publish post or comments without prompting you, click Allow Publishing.

6. (Optional) Provide some details.

7. If you choose “appears in a photo”, you’ll be able to tag your friend on a face in the photo. When you’re done tagging, click Finished Tagging.

NOTE: It will take a few hours before you see it in your Facebook news feed.

How do I remove the tag:

Just like in Facebook, you can also remove the tags of yourself anytime.

1. Go to Taggable and click Login with Facebook.

2. Under show tags for, click Pick a Friend and choose your name.

3. Click Remove Tag.

4. If you want to be notified when you have been tagged by your Facebook friends, click Tell me when I’m tagged! You can choose if you want to receive an email or subscribe to RSS feeds of your tags.

5. If you don’t want to be tagged by your Facebook friends (ever), you can completely remove yourself from the system but be very careful when using this because this action cannot be undone.

Taggable is a really great and unique way to connect people to any web pages. Now, tagging is not only for Facebook photos but to almost anything that you can find on the web.

How to download the entire Facebook photo album with FacePAD:

1. Download and install FacePAD. Once installed, restart your browser.

2. Login to your Facebook account. Go to your friend’s album the you want to download but don’t open it. Right-click on the album and click “Download Album with FacePAD”.

3. FacePAD will automatically download the entire photo album and it will be saved on your default download directory.

That’s it!

NOTE: If FacePAD doesn’t work for you, make sure that Cookies are enabled on your browser.

Picasa Uploader is a plugin that you can install on Picasa. It’s a fast way to upload photos to Facebook and it can really save your precious time and effort!

How to upload pictures in Facebook with Picasa Uploader:

1. Download and install Picasa for free.

2. Download and install Picasa Uploader.

3. Once installed, Facebook button will appear on the button tray.

4. To start uploading, choose the pictures you want to upload and click the Facebook button. A new window will open; wait for it to load. Click Start Upload.

Note: Facebook restricts you to 60 photos per album, so you won’t see any albums that can’t fit all of the newly uploaded photos.

Another Note: If you select “Create a New Album” but don’t enter a name, photos will be placed in a default “Picasa Photos” album which can hold up to 1000 photos. After you add photos, it’ll show up in your list in the future.

5. When you click the Start Upload button, Picasa prepares your images and sends them. This may take some time if you have a slow connection.

6. After uploading, your default browser will open and will direct you to the Facebook login page.

* If you encounter a problem, try to clear your browser’s cookies.

7. After logging in on your Facebook account, you’ll be transferred to the Upload Options page where you can choose an existing album or create a new one. When you’re done, just click the Send to Facebook button.

8. Picasa Uploader will start transferring your photos on your Facebook account. Once completed, click the Go to album on Facebook button.

9. Click Select All and Approve Selected Photos.

You’re done!

I know many of you do not optimize your images anymore because it’s a bit time-consuming, but remember that this is very important. There are a lot of websites that offer “online image optimizer” but this time, I will show you some “free image optimizer software”. What’s good about this? Aside from they are free, you can still use it even if you’re not connected to the internet and it’s less hassle because you don’t have to upload the images to the website and download it again to your desktop.

It’s so easy to use! After installing the program, just open it and search for a picture/folder with images that you want to optimize. You can optimize all the images in a folder by clicking the “Optimize All” button on the bottom-left side of the window.

You can also optimize a single image by clicking the Optimize button at the lower-center of the window.

If you didn’t like the result, you can “Undo” it and don’t worry because Ashampoo Photo Optimizer Free always makes a back up of your pictures so you can restore it anytime.

3. Shrink O’Matic

Shrink O’Matic is an Adobe AIR application that allows you to easily batch resize (shrink) images. It’s so easy to use, simply drag and drop images and they will be resized as you wish!

4. JPG Cleaner

JPG Cleaner is simple but powerful utility for cleaning JPG files from anything that is not picture data. Commonly used programs such as Adobe Photoshop are writing additional information into JPG file that isn’t needed for correctly displaying the picture.

5. JPEG And PNG Stripper

A tool for stripping/cleaning/removing unnecessary meta data (junk) from JPG/JPEG/JFIF & PNG files. The image quality is not affected. Includes command line support. Just specify a folder or file on the command line.

6. PNGGauntlet

PNGGauntlet is a .NET program that uses Ken Silverman’s PNGOUT to optimize PNG files. Many PNG files output by popular graphics software packages like Photoshop or even Fireworks are not as small as they could be – PNGGauntlet squeezes the last bit of size out of them. Furthermore, no information is lost during this process – the only thing that changes is the file size.

7. RIOT

Radical Image Optimization Tool or RIOT is a free image optimizer that will let you to visually adjust compression parameters while keeping minimum file size. You can also download the plug-in for IrfanView. You can access the RIOT plug-in from IrfanView by selecting File->Save for web.
