Hope they can update this list soon so I can try it with my Windows Live Skydrive account. This would really be a great feature so users can play all their media files using any device with internet access, anytime and anywhere using cloud storage.

Audials Moviebox also has a Media Center that lets you sync your media files with your mobile phone, or other devices, burn songs to CD, or create a ringtone. This is where you also organize your files so you can keep your collection, clutter-free.

All in all, Audials Moviebox is a multi-functional and impressive app. I find it easier to use compare to Audials One since it has lesser features. Though it doesn’t have that “killer” features, it’s just nice that it combines all these great functions that we normally find in a separate or different software programs.

Good thing with today’s modern technology, one doesn’t have to spend a lot to listen to their favorite tracks. They just have to visit Last.fm or Grooveshark and then search for the music they want to hear. But if you’re looking for a cheap free and legal way to download songs, I recommend you check out AudialsOne, the real all-in-one software for your video and music needs.

AudialsOne is a very cool Windows application that allows you to download unlimited music – completely free, ultra-fast, and most importantly, it’s totally legal! I’ve already tried a lot of music applications before but honestly, this is the first time that I see something like this. It can do a lot of things like radio streaming, record music from online sites, download videos online, convert songs and videos to the right format, watch or listen to podcasts, and remove DRM copy protection.

AudialsOne – installation, usage, and features

Installation of AudialsOne is a breeze and I didn’t experience any problem during the setup. However, when I launched the app, I was quite overwhelmed with what I saw. The app’s interface at first glance is really confusing because of the buttons and options scattered around but after a few minutes of playing with it, I got myself familiar to it.

Looking at the upper left side, you’ll see there 7 tabs which have different functions.

Audials One - Radio

Listen to your favorite radio stations and record music of your favorite genre, those are just some of the things you can do at the Radio tab. AudialsOne has a lot of radio stations from different countries to choose from!

You can even schedule recordings so you don’t have to stay up late just to record your favorite radio show.

You can record continuously if you really enjoy the songs being played by the radio station or let the app record and cut songs for you. You can also automatically convert it to your desired file format.

The quality of the recorded songs depend on the signal of the radio station. So far, most of the songs I recorded are in good quality.

Audials One – Search

Next to the Radio tab is the Search wherein you just have to enter a keyword (i.e. title of song or name of artist) and AudialsOne will search social radios and websites for your inquiry.

If there’s a lot of items in the search result, you can use the filter box so you can easily find the song you want to record/download.

AudialsOne – Wishes

Wishes is actually one of the coolest features of AudialsOne wherein you can enter the title of the song or name of the artist and then it will scan thousands of radio stations and automatically record the songs in your wishlist once the app found it being played.

AudialsOne – Capture

If you enjoy listening to Last.fm or Grooveshark, AudialsOne can record all the songs you’re listening to and save them in any format you want. In addition, it rounds out each track with a full complement of ID3 tags, cover artwork and even lyrics—all automatically retrieved from the internet!

Aside from that, you can also use it to capture YouTube videos, or videos from other sites, record video on your screen, and record audio from the output of your sound card.

Usenet: what is it anyway?

Here’s a brief description of Usenet:

Usenet is a worldwide network of commercial grade servers where members post and download files and messages to more than 100,000 themed discussion groups called “newsgroups”. Unlike peer based systems, Usenet is powered by commercial news servers connected through multi-gigabit Internet connections letting you to download as fast as your Internet connection will allow.

What’s cool about Usenet is that you don’t have to seed or upload anything while downloading a file unlike in torrent. And also, it is extremely fast! I mean mind-boggling fast!

How to get started:

In order to enter the world of Usenet, you are required to have a Usenet service provider. There’s actually a lot of them if you search it in Google but it’s important to take note that these providers are not free. Usenet isn’t a peer-to-peer service, so you’ve got to pay someone, somewhere for all that bandwidth and storage. If you’re not yet ready to spend some bucks to access Usenet, you can start with a free trial first then just continue if you like it.

fbDownloader is a free Windows application that saves you from the hassle of pulling all your Facebook photos by doing the traditional “right-click + save as” every time. It lets you backup and download all the precious photos from your Facebook account, photos tagged to you, or even your friends’ photo albums in just a few clicks.

To use fbDownloader, first you must download and install it on your PC. The installation process is just a bit hassle for me though. First, you’ll be asked to install different programs during the installation. However, it’s not mandatory to install them. Just click Decline if you don’t like it. After the installation, when I thought everything is alright, it asked me to download and install .Net Framework 4. I was re-directed to the Microsoft website where I downloaded the required file. After the installation of .Net Framework, at last, I was able to launch fbDownloader.

fbDownloader is very easy to use that even your grand ma can use it without any problem (believe me!). You just have to enter your email and password and once logged in, “allow” the application to access you account. That’s it! You can now choose which photos you wish to download.

As I have told you earlier in this post, you can choose to download your own photo albums, photos tagged to you, or even your friends’ pictures. You can also make the picture black & white if you want! The default download location is in the Pictures folder but you can change it to your preferred location.

Downloading process is pretty fast and the pictures do not have any loss in quality which is really nice.

fbDownloader is really an immense time-saver for downloading Facebook photo albums. So simple and easy to use, and lastly, it’s free!

Like Google, FindIcons is also very simple. You just have to enter your query like “Facebook” then click Search. It will automatically give you the results that matches your query.

I’m sure you don’t want to check all the results up to the last page just to find what you’re really looking for. That’s why you can use the tools beside the results so you can refine your search. You can choose the size and the color of the icons, and etc. to make it easier for you to find the icons you’re searching for.

Once you find the icon that you’re looking for, just click it to see its full details. You can download the icon as PNG, ICNS, ICO, or add to Favorites (must have an account), or convert it. You can also choose other sizes of the icons.

What’s good about FindIcons is that it will also show you the similar icons and other icons from its developer within the page.
