FindIcons is an icon search engine that can help you find the best free icons on the web. It’s like the “Google” of icon search engine because it has the largest searchable free icons database in the world, a sophisticated search filtering & matching system.

Like Google, FindIcons is also very simple. You just have to enter your query like “Facebook” then click Search. It will automatically give you the results that matches your query.

I’m sure you don’t want to check all the results up to the last page just to find what you’re really looking for. That’s why you can use the tools beside the results so you can refine your search. You can choose the size and the color of the icons, and etc. to make it easier for you to find the icons you’re searching for.

Once you find the icon that you’re looking for, just click it to see its full details. You can download the icon as PNG, ICNS, ICO, or add to Favorites (must have an account), or convert it. You can also choose other sizes of the icons.

What’s good about FindIcons is that it will also show you the similar icons and other icons from its developer within the page.

FindIcons is not just an ordinary icon search engine, you can also use it to convert images from your hard drive to icons.

You can also contribute to FindIcons by uploading an icon pack.

FindIcons is a really great icon search engine. I know that there are a lot of icon search engines out there but I’m pretty sure that this has the largest icon database on the web so you’re sure that almost all the icons that you need are here.

Firefox Addons That Download And Convert Facebook Videos

On my previous post I showed you DownFacebook, a website that lets you download Facebook videos easily. However, since it cannot download videos that are set to “private”, it’s just useless most of the time so I decided to look for other tools that can download any Facebook videos whether it’s set to public or private and luckily, I found some Firefox add-ons that can do that!

If you’re using Firefox and you want to download some Facebook videos, check out these add-ons that will make downloading Facebook videos as easy as pie!

1. Facebook Video

Facebook Video is a very nice add-on that do not add any clutter to your browser. It just adds some links below the Facebook video like Download and Convert Video.

On other videos, you’re going to see more features like Customize code and Embed this video. I’m not sure why but maybe because these videos are set to public.

If you want to download the video, just click Download Video. If you want to convert the video to other format before downloading it, click Convert Video. You’ll be then transferred to Zamzar.com. Choose the format you want to convert to and enter your email address to receive the download link.

If you want to embed the video on your website or blog, just click the Embed this Video link. You can also customize the video before embedding it by clicking Customize Code.

Note: I think there’s a bug with these two links (Embed and Customize) because whenever I’m clicking it, it disappears immediately that’s why I cannot copy/customize the code.

2. Flash and Video

Flash and Video is another awesome Firefox add-on that doesn’t only download videos from bunch of sites like YouTube, Facebook, Google Video, Dailymotion, Metacafe, and so on, it also allows you to download Flash games from websites gamespot.com, zoopgames.com, armorgames.com, bgames.com, gamesvine.com, flashgames247.com and other popular flash download websites.

Just like Facebook Video, it doesn’t add too much clutter on your browser because it only adds a tiny icon on your status bar. By default, the icon’s color is grey, but when it finds a video or Flash, it will turn to color blue.

To download a Facebook video, just play the video first and when it started playing, you’ll see another icon beside it. Just click that new icon and choose Facebook video.

3. Boost for Facebook

If you’re a certified Facebook addict and you want to improve your Facebook experience, Boost Facebook is for you. Aside from video downloader, it also adds more and better features like rollover pictures, selectable options, one-click pokes, hundred of skins to choose from, and many more!

To download any Facebook video, simply click the Download this video link below the video and the download will start immediately.

4. Download YouTube Videos +

Download YouTube Videos + allows you to download videos from different sites like YouTube, Facebook, and other popular video sharing sites. This addon is nice however, it will add another toolbar to your browser which is a bit annoying. The toolbar includes a search bar, save video link, screenshot (useful if you want to take screenshots of webpages or videos), translate button, Stumbleupon, and Facebook button.

To download a Facebook video, just play the video first and when it started playing, the “Save Video” link will become animated. Click it and download the Facebook video.

5. Keep Tube

Keep Tube is a popular Firefox add-on that allows you to download videos from bunch of sites like YouTube, Dailymotion, MySpace, Facebook, and many more. When you’re watching a video from any of the supported websites of Keep Tube, just click the icon on your status bar to download the video. Once you click it, you’ll be transferred to the Keep Tube website where you can download the video file.

DownFacebook – Easy And Simple Way To Download Public Facebook Videos

Have you ever wanted to download videos from Facebook so at least you can watch it even when you’re offline? Actually, there are a lot of ways to do that and one of them is by using DownFacebook, the simplest way to download public Facebook videos.

What’s nice about DownFacebook is that it doesn’t require you to download or install anything. All you need is your web browser with Flash Player installed and an internet connection. It provides you with two-ways to download videos from Facebook and here’s the first option:

Go to DownFacebook and paste the URL of the Facebook video you want to download in the box then click Download Video.

How to get the URL of the Facebook video? Just right-click on the title of the video and click Copy Link Location.

Here’s the second option to download Facebook video using DownFacebook:

When you’re watching a video in Facebook, just add the word “down” just before “facebook.com” in the link in the address bar of your browser and hit Enter.

NOTE: If the video is private, you can not download it. Instead, you can contact the person and ask him to change the privacy settings of the video.

DownFacebook is very simple to use, however, most of the videos being uploaded to Facebook are set to private that’s why it’s useless “most of the time”.

NOTE: Your buddy MUST be online to receive the file. He will receive an incoming file transfer note and it’s up to him if he will accept or decline the file.

If you want to auto-accept a file from a specific user, just click the check button after his email address.

If you want don’t want to receive any notification of incoming file transfer, go to File –> Preferences and uncheck “Always Notify of Incoming Transfers?”. (This is very risky; you might receive an infected file from someone you don’t know but if you really trust your buddies, go for it.)

You can also chat with your buddies on the application itself. Just click the name of your buddy and click the Chat button.

For me, FilePhile is really great especially when I need to send really big files directly to my friends or family. In addition, what I love most about this program is its ability to resume downloads and uploads even if some connection problems occur.

I know some of you are hesitant to try FilePhile because there are a lot of things that you have to do before you can use it, but I’m telling you, registration and installation of the program is so fast and also, FilePhile is very lightweight. Once you install this program on your computer, transferring and sharing of files will be very fast and easy. Try it now and I’m sure you’ll really like it!

6 Web-Based P2P File Sharing Sites That Let You Share Files Instantly

Peer-to-peer file sharing or commonly known as P2P is a convenient way of sharing files over the internet. However, you must be very careful when using P2P because some of the files uploaded to the internet have viruses, spyware and other threats that can harm your PC. Here is a list of “Web-based P2P File Sharing Sites” that you can use to share files instantly:

1. WikiFortio

WikiFortio allows you to upload files up to 100 MB in size. After uploading your file, you can share the unique ID or unique URL to your friends/family which they can use to download the file.

2. PipeBytes

This is my favorite web-based P2P file sharing service. There’s no upload limit and your friend could start downloading the file as you upload it.

3. Wikisend

It’s almost the same as WikiFortio.

4. Files Over Miles

Files Over Miles is as cool as PipeBytes. Just browse the file you want to send and you’ll be given a unique URL that you can send to your friend to download the file. You can also add a password to protect your file.

5. Machsend

Machsend is a nice file sharing service but it requires you to install a Yahoo! plugin called Browser Plus before you can use their service. After installing Browser Plus, you can now drag and drop the files that you want to send.

6. iSendr

iSendr has the same concept like PipeBytes where your friend could start downloading the file as you upload it.

Gygan – Unlimited Online Storage For Free (Upload Any Files You Want)

I know you’re doubting if the title of this post is really true, imagine “unlimited online storage for FREE”? Okay so maybe you’re thinking that I’m going crazy now but actually, I’m not. There’s really an application that lets you upload unlimited files for free and that is Gygan. Actually, at first, I’m a bit hesitant if it’s really true or it’s just a trick, but it isn’t. I already tried it and I like it because it does what it says. I can upload any files I want no matter how big it is and with unlimited speed because free and paid users get maximum bandwidth! However, there is a 4 GB bandwidth for downloading files but its not a big deal because there’s 1 GB free refill every month or if you want, you can upgrade to premium to increase your download bandwidth.

4.1. You can download any files you want. Use the search box to easily find what you’re looking for.

4.2. Just click the Download button if you want to download the file.

4.3. You can check the status of your downloads in the Downloads tab. You can also check your remaining bandwidth on the upper-left side.

4.4. Gygan will automatically create a Gygan Downloads folder in your My Documents; all your downloaded files will be saved there. You can always change this in the Settings.

FacePAD – Download The Entire Facebook Photo Album In Just 2-Clicks

Do you want to download the entire Facebook album of your friend? Do you know that there’s an easy way to do that in just a few clicks? I know it’s a hassle to download each picture manually especially if there’s more than 100 images in an album; just imagine how long it will take you to finish downloading that. Luckily if you’re using Firefox, there’s an add-on called FacePAD that lets you download the entire Facebook photo album easily!

How to download the entire Facebook photo album with FacePAD:

1. Download and install FacePAD. Once installed, restart your browser.

2. Login to your Facebook account. Go to your friend’s album the you want to download but don’t open it. Right-click on the album and click “Download Album with FacePAD”.

3. FacePAD will automatically download the entire photo album and it will be saved on your default download directory.

That’s it!

NOTE: If FacePAD doesn’t work for you, make sure that Cookies are enabled on your browser.
