There are a lot of WordPress plugins out there that let you integrate Adsense ads to your blog but I find most of them too advanced and complicated. The only plugin that suits my simple needs is Quick Adsense. It offers a quick and simple way to insert Adsense Ads or other Ad codes into your blog post. It comes with a simple setting page and you wouldn’t find any complicated options.

Features of Quick Adsense:

Absolutely NO author revenue reward or revenue sharing from your Ads (unlike other plugins!)

Default Ads positioning: assign Ads at the beginning of the post/end of the post/after certain paragraphs/after certain images.

Flexible Ads placement: insert Ads specifically or randomly anywhere within a post.

Simple configuration interface: just copy and paste the Ad code, select the alignment, choose the placement/position, and the plugin will then do the rest for you.

Support any Ad codes

Display up to a maximum of 10 Ads on a page: Google allows publishers to place up to 3 Adsense for Content on a page. If you are using other Ads, you may display up to 10 Ads.

Support up to a maximum of 10 Ads codes on sidebar widgets.

Ads placement on the fly, simply insert
<!--Ads1-->
,
<!--Ads2-->
…,
<!--RndAds-->
,
<!--NoAds-->
,
<!--OffDef-->
to a post to accomplish this.

Tags above can be inserted into a post easily via the additional Quicktag Buttons added to the HTML Edit Post SubPanel.

3. You’ll be transferred to your Dlvr.it dashboard. From here, you can add more networks and feeds.

4. You can also customize how your feed will look like.

4. Dlvr.it also shows you the stats of your published feeds.

6. You can also manage your own short links. By default, Dlvr.it is using its own URL shortener to shorten the links of your posts, but if you want, you can also use your own custom short domain or add a bit.ly account.

8. Dlvr.it allows you to add tracking tags to your links for enhanced reporting from your site analytics service.

There are bunch of ways to tweet your newly published posts. You can tweet it manually or automatically by installing some plugins. However, if you’re using Google FeedBurner, you can use it to auto-tweet your newly published posts without installing any plugins, etc. Check this out!

The FeedBurner Socialize service makes it easy to distribute your content to interested subscribers or followers on social networks using any FeedBurner feed you already have. The Socialize service currently supports distribution on Twitter.

How to setup FeedBurner Socialize to automatically post updates from your feed to your Twitter account:

If you own a website, you know how important it is to monitor its loading speed especially now that Google considers “website speed” in their search ranking algorithms.

From Google Webmaster Central Blog:

As part of that effort, today we’re including a new signal in our search ranking algorithms: site speed. Site speed reflects how quickly a website responds to web requests.

Actually, there are a lot of tools that let you test your website speed but my favorite is GTmetrix because aside from checking the speed, it also gives you some tips that help you develop a faster, more efficient, and all-around improved website experience for your users.

GTmetrix uses Google Page Speed and Yahoo! YSlow to grade your site’s performance and provides actionable recommendations to fix these issues.

How to use GTmetrix:

1. Visit GTmetrix and enter the URL of your website and click GO.

2. GTmetrix will analyze your URL and when it’s done, you’ll receive a performance report for your website.

3. Read and understand the recommendations. To know more about this, go to Recommendations page.

4. If you want to track the history report of your website, you can create an account for free so you can check the improvements that you’ve made to your website.

5. You can also use GTmetrix to compare your website with other URL.

6. If you want to easily check the speed of other websites, you can use the GTmetrix bookmarklet. Just drag the bookmarklet below to your bookmarks toolbar and click it if you want to test the speed of the website you’re currently browsing.

Social bookmarking sites like StumbleUpon, Digg, Reddit, and Delicious have been very beneficial to the webmasters and bloggers like me. They give massive traffic to many websites as soon as you submit to them your posts.

The first time I saw the floating share buttons in Mashable, I already want to install it on my blog because it’s so cool and I know that it will help my readers to easily submit my blog posts to different social networking sites. I immediately searched it in WordPress Plugin Directory and I used different keywords but I cannot find it, but luckily, when I searched Google for “floating share buttons”, Smart Sharing plugin appeared!

What is Smart Sharing:

Smart sharing adds a floating box with social media buttons in single posts only. By default, you can pick between Retweet, Facebook, Digg, and StumbleUpon. But you are not limited to these choices because there is an option to add your own custom codes.

Smart Sharing is probably the best “imitation” of the Mashable’s floating share buttons and <del>you can see the live demo here in my blog (it’s on the left-side that scrolls down as you go down).</del>

If you like to install this in your WordPress blog, check this out!

1. Go to http://www.wpbeginner.com/smart-sharing-plugin-for-wordpress/ and enter your email address to download the plugin. Check your email address to confirm your subscription. Once you confirmed your subscription, you’ll receive an email that includes the download link for the Smart Sharing plugin. Download and install the plugin.

2. Once installed, go to the Smart Sharing settings and configure the plugin.

* For more information, click here.

3. What’s good about this plugin is that you can customize it easily even if you’re a beginner like me. You can add other social media network icons like “Google Buzz”, Reddit, ShareThis, etc.

You can add the other buttons/icons in the Custom Codes box. You can use the CSS class “sharer” as a separator. Here’s an example if you want to add the “Google Buzz button”:

4. You may also notice that when you activate the plugin, you’ll see a new box in your post write panel. This box will allow you to have a custom settings for a specific post.

Example, your default settings is: Facebook, StumbleUpon, Retweet buttons are enabled for every posts. Now, if you want to enable the Digg button for a specific post, you can use the Override Global Settings in your post write panel.

Smart Sharing plugin is a really great way to get more votes and traffic from the different social media networks.

If you’re a blogger, one of the most important things you have to do is to promote your blog. You may think that promoting a blog is easy but it isn’t; it requires hard work, a lot of patience, and sometimes, money.
