Insert inline images in Gmail without attaching

Here’s a simple guide on how you can include images in the body of your email without attaching.

1. Log in to your Gmail account. Go to Settings –> Labs.

2. Look for “Inserting Images” then click Enable. Check for other cool labs that you want to enable. Once done, click the Save Changes button below.

3. Now, every time you want to insert inline images into your email body, just click the Insert Image button beside the emoticon icon.

Just remember that Gmail and other email clients do not show URL-based images in messages by default.  Recipients must click the “Display images below” or “Always display images from…” to see the embedded images.

We all know that many email services like Yahoo! Mail has a limitation when attaching a file. You cannot send files that are larger than 25 MB. Good thing there are other services that help you send files to your friends no matter how big it is just like Pipebytes.

But if you really want to send big files using your email, you can still do it but you have to split your files into several parts first before you can attach and send the files one by one.

How to split a file into several parts using WinRAR*:

1. Right-click on the file that you want to split into several parts.

2. Click “Add to archive…”

I chose to split a video with the size of 5 MB.

3. Under the option Split to volumes, either enter the desired maximum size of each file part or choose an appropriate size from the available drop down option. In my case I entered 1 MB for each part of file.

4. Now the video was already split into several parts with the size of 1 MB each.

How to merge the files using WinRAR:

1. Right-click on the file.

2. Click “Extract files…”Extract Files With WinRAR

3. Choose your preferred destination path and click OK. You’re done!
