How To Stop YouTube Video From Loading/Buffering
Are you looking for the “Stop” button on the YouTube player? Actually, you can’t find any stop button there that’s why there’s no way to stop the videos from buffering. There are times when you just want to read the comments on a video but you can’t stop YouTube from loading the video even if you press the “Pause” button. But wait, do you know that there are some simple steps that you can do to stop YouTube video from loading? Check this out:
YouTube doesn’t have any “Stop” button on its player but you can actually stop the video from loading by:
1. Right-click on the video and click Stop download. (That simple!)
Now the video will stop downloading. If you want to resume the buffering, just click the “Pause” button.
How to put a “Stop” button on the YouTube player:
If you really want to have a “Stop” button on the YouTube player, you can do that by installing a script:
1. Install Greasemonkey for Firefox users.
* Chrome users can go directly to Step 2..
2. Install Vishnu’s YouTube stop video download script.
Test it – Watch any YouTube video and press the Stop button.
