Isn’t it annoying if your files are scattered on your hard drive and if you’re looking for this particular file, you couldn’t find it anymore because you forgot where you saved it. Do you wish there’s an easy way to organize and tag your files? Actually, there is! Check out Tabbles, a new way to manage your files, folders, and URLs.

What is a tabble anyway?
A “tabble” is a tag and a virtual folder at the same time. These are special containers that you can use to categorize your files, folders and bookmarks.
Why is Tabbles a new way to organize your files?
For example, you’re a student and you have bunch of projects. You can use Tabbles to tag your projects with different categories like Math project, Science, etc. so you can easily organize and find it when you needed it.
To create a tabble, simply click CTRL + N on the workspace and put a name on it. Start adding files in each tabble; the files will not be duplicated nor moved from its original location.
You can tag files or folder from the Windows Explorer; just right-click on a file, click Tag file and choose the tabble or create a new one. You can also copy-paste the file directly from the Windows Explorer to the tabble. Check out this video for more information.

Tabbles also let you cross-link your files to one or more tabbles. This is useful if you would like to have the same file into two folders or more.
If you think tagging is a hassle, you’re right about that! And the developers of Tabbles have thought of it too that’s why they have a solution for that – auto-tagging and one-click feature. This feature lets you create your own rule so the next time you create a file, it will automatically be placed on its proper tabble. Check out this video for more information.

You’ll also love its combine function that will show you all the files linked to each one of the tabbles you are combining. Check out this video for more information.
This means that each combination will show you all the files, folders and URLs grouped by the concepts they are related to and not by their location on the hard drive.
Tabbles is just like your normal folder but smarter. You can use the simple explorer functions such as cut/copy/paste, drag-and-drop, keyboard shortcuts, and more! Actually, there are more things that you can do with this intelligent application and what I’ve shown you above are just the basics. Tabbles is definitely the easiest way to manage and organize your files!
Other features of Tabbles:
- File search
- File sorting by date, size, recently tagged, etc.
- File operation and browsing history
- Encrypt, backup, export and import tag database
- Tag URLs with one-click (browser integration feature)
- Tag Gmail and tweets
Tabbles has a free version but it’s limited to 1000 files only. There’s also a portable version that you can download for free if you want to use the application without installing anything on your PC.
* If you’re a blogger, you can request for a free “Business License” of Tabbles worth $69 - in return of a review.
