I’m a big fan of Firefox and Google Chrome but I still prefer using the awesome Firefox because it has all the features that I need and it has a lot of add-ons to choose from. However, Google Chrome is also nice because of its simplicity and neat-looking interface that’s why if you want to copy the look of Chrome in your Firefox, you can use these add-ons that I collected to “chromify” your favorite browser – Firefox!
Before anything else, I’m sure some of you haven’t seen Google Chrome yet so I’m going to show you first how does it look:
Now that you’ve seen Google Chrome’s neat-looking interface, let’s “chromify” our Firefox now:
1. Download and install Chromifox Basic. Once installed, restart your browser. Now, your Firefox looks like Google Chrome, but we’re not yet done.
2. If you’ll notice, Google Chrome’s tabs are located at the top, so to achieve that look, let’s install Tabs on Top. Restart your browser to see the change.

3. Now, we have to hide the title bar and the menu bar. To do this, let’s install Hide Caption Titlebar Plus (Smart) and Hide Menubar. Once installed, restart your browser.
* If you can still see the menu bar, go to View –> Toolbars, uncheck Menu Bar.
* If you want to show the menu bar temporarily, you can press the ALT key.
4. We’re almost done! If you’ll notice, Google Chrome shows you you’re most visited sites on startup, and to do that in Firefox, let’s install Speed Dial.
5. One of the main objectives of Chrome is to save space that’s why its status bar only appears when we need them or when it has something to show. So for our last step, let’s install autoHideStatusbar.
Check out the final result:
Here are the other add-ons that you can install:
1. When you download something in Google Chrome, the downloads will be placed at the status bar, to achieve this in Firefox, you can install Download Statusbar.

2. You can also install Locationbar2 that puts emphasis on the domain just like in Chrome.

3. One of the coolest features of Google Chrome is it lets you create any site into a separate application. Just like if you use Gmail everyday, you can turn it into a separate application that you can open straight from your desktop. Now, the good news is, you can have it too in Firefox by installing Mozilla Labs – Prism.
You’re done!
I’m sure that you’ll love the fresh, new look of your favorite web browser – Firefox!
