How To Remove The Kaspersky Add-ons/Icons In Firefox

Posted by

A friend of mine has just installed Kaspersky Internet Security on his brand new PC and he’s quite annoyed with the two Kaspersky icons that appear in his Firefox. He asked me if there’s a way to disable or remove it and I told him that I’m going to answer his question in my blog and here it is. Check this out!

What are these add-ons that Kaspersky Internet Security installed in Firefox:

The first add-on is the Kaspersky URL Advisor that compares web addresses and other URLs against a database of suspicious and phishing websites.

The other one is the Kaspersky Virtual Keyboard which you can use to safely enter sensitive information without being tracked by keyloggers.

These icons may be really useful but if you think you don’t need it or you don’t want to see a lot of icons in your browser, you can easily remove these. Here’s how:

1. Open Firefox and go to Tools menu –> Add-ons.

2. Look for Kaspersky URL Advisor and click Disable.

3. Restart your browser. You’re done!
