Prevent Your WordPress Blog From Getting Tagged As Ping Spammer

Posted by

Did you know that when you create a new post, WordPress automatically notifies/ping some site update services for them to be aware that you update your blog? This sounds good right? However, if you edit your post often and you keep on pressing the “Update” button, WordPress will keep on pinging those sites and too much of pinging them can cause bad effect to your blog like getting banned or being tagged as a Ping Spammer.

If you want to prevent your blog from getting tagged as a Ping Spammer, you can install cbnet Ping Optimizer, a WordPress plugin.

Features of cbnet Ping Optimizer:

Once cbnet Ping Optimizer is installed,

  • When you create a new post, your blog will ping and notify all the ping services that it has been updated. This encourages search engines and different blog directories/services to index your updated blog properly.
  • When you edit an existing post, it won’t send any unnecessary ping to ping services and saves your blog from getting banned by such services.
  • When you post a future post by editing the time stamp, it will ping only when your post appears in future. It won’t unnecessarily ping many times when you schedule posts as WordPress does by default.

cbnet Ping Optimizer

From now on, you’ll be more confident to edit and update your blog posts without getting tagged as a Ping Spammer.

ya MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer Plugin is the best for avoiding Blog to Become Ping Spammer /

Will MaxBlogPress’ Ping Optimizer look at all pings coming from a site and prevent pings accordingly? My site uses XML sitemaps and Pods plugins and I am worried that these two are also pinging and may cause ping spam?
