Posted by

There are times when we want to post updates to our Twitter account but we can’t access the Twitter website directly because the firewall from our school or office is blocking our connection. But good thing, we can now post updates to our Twitter account via email. How’s that possible?

TwitterMail is a free service that will provide you with a secret @twittermail.com address that you can use to:

  • Post updates via email
  • Post images to Twitpic via email
  • Tweet longer messages
  • Receive replies via email

How to get your personal @twittermail.com address:

1. Go to http://twittercounter.com/pages/twittermail and click “Add yourself. It’s free.” button.

2. A new window will open. Enter your username and password and click Allow.

* This will allow TwitterMail to access and update your data on Twitter.

3. You’ll be re-directed back to the TwitterMail website. Go to TwitterMail tab to check your secret @twittermail.com address. From now on, you can post updates to your Twitter account via email. Just send an email to your secret @twittermail.com address and it will be posted to your Twitter account.

* You can personalize your TwitterMail address to your liking but make sure that nobody can guess that address. You don’t want others to post annoying updates on your Twitter account right? So be very careful when changing your TwitterMail address.
