Owely – Take Screenshots And Share Them Instantly

Taking screenshots should not be a hassle if you have the right tool – just like Owely, an awesome screen capture tool that lets you take screenshots and share them with your friends right away! In addition, you can also add annotations before sending it.

To use Owely, you must create an account first. Once your account has been created and confirmed, download and install Owely.

* All your screenshots will be uploaded and saved to your Owely account.

** Owely works on Windows, Mac, and Linux machines.

Once installed, launch Owely and enter your login information.

To take screenshots, here are the hotkeys that you can use:

For Windows:

Ctrl + Win + D Capture screen and start drawing.

Ctrl + Win + W Capture active window and start drawing.

Ctrl + Win + R Capture screen and select area to crop, only after that start drawing.

For Mac:

Ctrl + Command + D Capture screen and start drawing.

Ctrl + Command + W Capture active window and start drawing

Ctrl + Command + R Capture screen and select area to crop, only after that start drawing.

When you create a screenshot, you’ll be able to add text, arrows/drawings, or crop the image before saving or sending it.

Once you’re done editing your screenshot, press the Esc button. You’ll be given the option to save it to your desktop, copy it to your clipboard, or upload it to your Owely account so you can share the link with your friends instantly.

You can check your uploaded screenshots on your Owely account.

Owely is set to run on system startup by default. If you don’t like this, open Owely Settings and go to General tab and uncheck “Run on system start”.

This is nice. I've been using the Snipping Tool (on Windows 7) to screen capture my windows and activities.

But the plus factor here is the sharing option by easily uploading it on the cloud and sharing the link. Lemme try this one...

Snipping Tool on Windows 7 lacks a lot of features. Owely is far better than it ;)
