One of the major problems of most smartphones today is the battery life. It would be a miracle if my HTC Desire HD will last for a day or two without charging but of course, that wouldn’t be possible especially for a busy guy like me. So if you own a thirsty smartphone like mine, I suggest you use a portable charger that you can easily bring anywhere so you can power-up your phone anytime you need it.
Last week, peeps from Milk gave me Milktube Light so I can test it and share my experience with my readers. Milktube, by the way, is Milk’s newest product dedicated to enhance the using experience of smartphone. After using it for a week, I can now say that it is one of my must-have-to-bring every time I leave the house.
Milktube Light – Portable charger for your gadgets
I’m sure most of you are not yet familiar with Milktube that is because it only became available locally last November and the distributors are just starting to introduce it to the public.
Milktube, just like the other portable chargers I’ve seen, is very small in size but has the capacity to offer extra 80-100% more juice depending on your phone’s battery capacity.
Milktube has a capacity of 2300mAh and offers faster charging compare to computer output. It also uses a magnetic plug – Macbook Air style! Based on my personal experience with Milktube, it takes about 1 1/2 hours to fully charge it and it gives my HTC Desire HD an extra 80% more juice.

What’s great about Milktube is that it comes with multiple connectors to fit different devices including Apple, Samsung, Motorola/HTC(Mini USB), Blackberry/Sony Ericsson/Nokia(Micro USB), PSP, NDS, USB female, USB male. It works even on iPhone and iPad devices.
NOTE: Since it’s using its own cable and connectors, you must take care of it and keep it in a safe place because you can not buy separate cable/connectors once you misplace it. Good thing, the package comes with a necklace pouch so you can carry it safely.

Another great feature of Milktube is the light indicator to help you identify the status of your battery.
Red – less than 20%
Yellow or Blue – 30-80%
Green – 80-100%
Milktube – LED Light
One of the unique features of Milktube is its ultra-bright LED light. You can use it up to 8 hours, non-stop! It’s a bit awkward though to turn on the LED light since most of us are used to twisting the flashlight, but this one, you need to hold the button at the bottom for a few seconds to light it up.

After our long conversations, nothing happened. If you bought this item and working fine, then you are lucky. If it is broken, service warranty is fraud! Ms. Cecilla wants me to return the item, and didn't give any estimate time of return? like they will bring the item back to china for repair, and she don't know when it will return, she can even return it after a year! and I am also emailing the HK group, also the same, promised to give a replacement of my milktube, but? ALL LIE. Do not buy this product, WARRANTY IS A FRAUD!
@theheatweb Please try to review eneloop mobile booster, its better.. 3000pesos , 5000mAH 1A and covers 1 year warranty at DIGITALHUB. cheaper and more energy to give! Definitely warranty is genuine! Thank you!
Don't buy this product, specially to Ms. Cecilia of Milktube, I bought mine after seeing the discounted price at cashcashpinoy.com. Since I wanted the item badly, I bought it to her at regular price last dec 29, 2011. Bad sad to say, at Jan 9, 2012, the item doesn't charge anymore. And this Ms. Cecilia ignored my calls and messages. Bad item and scam seller! Beware!
@Wendy_Joya Hi Wendy, thanks for your comment. My Milktube is still working very well and I'm using it almost everyday. If I'm not mistaken, the item has 1 year service warranty and 1-week replacement period. I will email Ms. Cecilia regarding this issue. Again, thanks for your comment.

I also purchased the Milktube portable charger last month via cashcashpinoy.com and to my dismay, the delivery has been delayed for almost a week now (voucher states delivery starts on 01-Feb which would take 6 working days). Worst, been having unpleasant experience with cashcashpinoy.com -- lousy customer service. I inquired about the status of my purchase and all they could give me was this same response -- "delivery in process" every time I would follow through and so I went on to request for the tracking number just to be sure and inquired straight to the courier; to my surprise I found out that my tracking number could not be found. Something fishy is going on. Now I have been sending follow-up emails since yesterday and still no reply at present. I think it’s impolite to keep your customers waiting/guessing.
When I saw this deal, the Milk brand looked promising and innovative to me and so I purchased it but with poor service that I’ve been getting from cashcashpinoy.com - who's supposed to be helping in representing the brand as the merchant partner, I’m afraid the image is slowly being tarnished.
I hope cashcashpinoy.com would be more efficient in initiating the release of realistic and valid updates to shipments such as this and wont just give out generic responses because they don’t really help pacify an irate customer. And to Milk, I hope that somehow, you guys would do something on cases such as this and help address concerns especially since these items are coming from your end.
