Locking your computer is a good way to keep your computer safe and prevent it from unauthorized access. However, the standard way of doing this is quite boring. Good thing there’s a brand new and fun way to lock your computer and that’s by using XUS PC Lock.
XUS PC Lock is a Windows application that lets you lock your computer and unlock it in a unique way – by tracing your secret pattern. If someone tries to unlock your PC and enters a wrong pattern, the program will show an alert warning with a very distracting sound effect that made me feel nervous the first time I heard it. I’m sure those people who will try to unlock your PC will also panic when they hear it.
What I like most about XUS PC Lock is that it’s very customizable:
- You can change the background image
- Set to auto-lock the computer when it startup or when it is in idle mode
- Change the alert text
- Reset the lock pattern and a lot more!
If you find the sound effect distracting, you can change the alert mode to “None” instead of the alarm or automatically “Lock” or “Shut down” your computer when someone enters an incorrect pattern for several times.
