FilePhile – Free Unlimited File Transfer To Any Computer

Posted by

Do you need to send a large file to your friend, family or co-worker? There are number of ways to do that and one of the simplest ways is by using FilePhile, a free tool that lets you send unlimited files securely with professional grade encryption.

Awesome features of FilePhile:

1. Unlimited file transfer – send up to 1 Terabytes (1000 GB) or more!

2. Easy to use – just add FilePhile users to your buddy list and drag and drop the files onto the program. That’s it!

3. Direct file transfer – no data is stored online; files go directly from your computer to the recipients’, which is both faster and more secure.

4. Private and secure – data transfer is secured with professional-grade end-to-end encryption.

5. Transfer just keep going and going – FilePhile recovers from crashes, reboots, sleep/wake, and even changes in network location. It automatically resumes when temporary problems occur.

6. Cross-platform – FilePhile can run on almost anything; Windows, Mac, Linux, and other operating systems.

7. It’s absolutely free!

In order to use FilePhile, you and your recipient must create an account first, then download and install the program. Once installed, launch FilePhile. Enter your FilePhile account in the “Name” and “Password” blanks under the “General Settings” tab. This will set up FilePhile to log into the network with your new account.

Add other users to your buddy list by entering their email address.

To send a file:

  • (Shortcut) Just drag the file onto your buddy/user’s email address or double-click the name of your buddy.
  • (The usual way) Go to File –> Send, choose a buddy, browse the file you would like to send, enter a description (optional), and click Send.

NOTE: Your buddy MUST be online to receive the file. He will receive an incoming file transfer note and it’s up to him if he will accept or decline the file.

Incoming File Transfer Note

If you want to auto-accept a file from a specific user, just click the check button after his email address.

If you want don’t want to receive any notification of incoming file transfer, go to File –> Preferences and uncheck “Always Notify of Incoming Transfers?”. (This is very risky; you might receive an infected file from someone you don’t know but if you really trust your buddies, go for it.)

You can also chat with your buddies on the application itself. Just click the name of your buddy and click the Chat button.

For me, FilePhile is really great especially when I need to send really big files directly to my friends or family. In addition, what I love most about this program is its ability to resume downloads and uploads even if some connection problems occur.

I know some of you are hesitant to try FilePhile because there are a lot of things that you have to do before you can use it, but I’m telling you, registration and installation of the program is so fast and also, FilePhile is very lightweight. Once you install this program on your computer, transferring and sharing of files will be very fast and easy. Try it now and I’m sure you’ll really like it!
