Document Corrupter – Give Yourself More Time To Finish Your Projects

by

If you are a student, you know how important it is to submit your projects or research papers on time. I’m sure you don’t want to be scolded by your professor in front of the whole class when you weren’t able to submit your project on the time, right? But what if there’s an easy and valid way why your professor would give you more time to finish your work? Would you be interested to know what is it?

Document Corrupter is a web application that allows you to intentionally corrupt your Word documents so that no one can open it – even your professor or your boss. Cool and clever service huh?

Microsoft Office Word Error

How to use Document Corrupter:

1. Visit Document Corrupter. Click Browse and locate the document you want to corrupt.

* If you want to make sure that no one can recover your file (even your tech savvy professors), just check Shuffle the pieces.

2. Click Submit.

3. Download the corrupted document. Make sure that you do not save it in the same folder as the original because it could overwrite the original document.

NOTE: Use this at your own risk. You don’t know, maybe your professor is extremely tech savvy or he has a friend who knows a lot of ways to recover corrupted documents. Still the best thing that you can do is, do your homework first before anything else.

Document Corrupter can be a good friend but it can also become your worst nightmare.

Funny reading the people defending this. If I were your boss, I wouldn't be a pussy and think it was my fault, I'd call your ass up at 3AM and demand a new working copy ASAP. We can see through this shit... we stumble too! :')

1. cheating is cheating, regardless whether done by one or many
2. this is everywhere, and plenty easy to figure out
and
3. for Barb,"Just an fyi as a teacher – we know this trick and the million others, after all we didn’t get to teach without learning first ;) But, this is a great little app :)"
-- nearly 1/3 of my online instructors failed even to understand the syllabi (and requirements) they delivered to their classes... and many admitted to merely moonlighting as teachers, in order to defray the costs of pursuing their Masters, or just to augment their middle management incomes...
Happy New Year! (is that old yet?)

way easier way to do this. take an ".mp3." file and change the extension to ".doc". when tried to open it just says file is corrupt.

true, but a teacher can't be expected to know every single website (or even website service) that can be used to one's advantage, there are just too many inventive ways to fool you, trying to stop it completely is like trying to accept every possible file type for a completed assignment, it becomes impossible when you consider that people can make up their own file extensions (which is a good way to fool you, "what you mean you don't accept .Randoms?", lol)

It is precisely for this reason that professors have started demanding that the file they receive have a final modification date no later than the due date.

You'd have to find out a way to change the mod date.

so then someone needs to make a program that can change the mod date, it's probably a simple operation

Dude.
Dude.

You could change the time code on your computer when you save the document, to any date you like.

Somehow I doubt this would fool an IT teacher or any teacher suddenly even 1% of there class started having "corrupted" documents
If you can't get your shit together on time then you need to find a way to lighten your load.

This is terrible.

Now people are able to get an unfair advantage over others.

If you can't get your stuff handed in on time, then maybe you don't deserve your degree.

sometimes you have an unfair disadvantage that the teacher wont give you extra time and this is a life saver

Nice. It is a good excuse (which is exactly what my dad hates). Actually, it isn't even an excuse. Just send them the file, and when they can't open it, they'll give you another day or two to fix it.
But don't worry: I'm not not smart enough to use this.
