How To Disable Windows Automatic Update

Posted by

Windows Automatic Updates is very essential for our Windows PC because it provides the latest protection against security threats and fix some old bugs too. But for some people, they don’t want to automatically update their Windows because sometimes it slows down the PC. Instead, they want to do it manually. On my previous post, I showed you “how to stop automatic restart after Windows update”, and now I’ll show you how you can disable Windows automatic update.

1. Go to Start and click Control Panel.

2. Double-click Automatic Updates.

3. Automatic Updates window will open. You can now choose which way you want to update your Windows PC.

Tip: Never choose “Turn Off Automatic Updates” because your computer will be more vulnerable to viruses, spyware and other security threats.
