Chit Chat – Chat With Your Facebook Friends From Your Desktop

Do you enjoy chatting with your friends in Facebook? How about when you’re in school or office? How can you chat with them if your school/office is blocking you from opening the Facebook website? Good thing there is Chit Chat, a free desktop application that lets you chat with your Facebook buddies without the need to use a web browser!

Chit Chat for Facebook is a lightweight application that allows you to chat with all your Facebook friends!

How to use Chit Chat:

1. Download and install Chit Chat for Facebook.

* It works with Windows XP/Vista/7

2. Run the application. Log in with your Facebook account.

3. You’ll be asked if you want to let Chit Chat share their link and notify your friends in Facebook that you’re using their program by updating your status.

4. Choose an online friend that you want to chat with. You can chat with several people at once through a tabbed chat interface.

5. You can also send message to your online buddies or write on their wall by right-clicking on their names.

Downside of using Chit Chat for Facebook:

1. When you’re using Chit Chat, you shouldn’t login to the Facebook website because you’ll be signed out from the application. You’ll receive a message like this:

2. You shouldn’t leave your Facebook chat “offline” because when you login to Chit Chat, all your friends will appear offline.

3. The groups/friend lists will not appear in Chit Chat.

Chit Chat may have some downsides, but for me, it is still a must-have tool for those who want to chat with their Facebook friends without using a web browser and besides, it’s free! It is also very helpful for those who cannot visit the Facebook website from their school or office.
