Internet is really becoming a part of our everyday life. Most of us do not buy newspaper anymore because we can already read the hottest news on the internet and many teens do not play outdoor sports anymore because they prefer playing online games (I’m one of them).

It is true that internet makes our life more comfortable and easier! We can easily connect with our friends through Facebook, Myspace, and other social networking sites. But sometimes it’s irritating when our internet connection is so slow. We can’t finish our work on time, uploading images in Facebook and downloading files is taking so long.

If you want, you can check your internet connection speed and if you found out that you have a slow internet connection, you can determine the best time for you to download or upload files by keeping a history of the speed test results.  Through this, you can determine when you have the fastest internet connection speed.

How to get more accurate internet speed test results:

1. Make sure that you close other web browsers.

2. Close other programs which may be connecting to the internet (Utorrent, Limewire, etc).

3. Run this speed test at different times of the day and different days of the week. Network usage will vary depending on the time of day and your speed may be directly affected by the changes in the network.

The Results:

Download Speed – the speed at which data is sent from the Internet to your computer.

Uploading Speed – the speed at which data is sent from your computer to the Internet.
