How To Check If A Website Is Down

Posted by

There are times when we visit a website, it doesn’t load maybe because:

  • the server is down
  • your firewall is blocking you from visiting that site, or
  • there’s a problem with your internet connection

And then suddenly, you’ll freak out because you don’t know what’s going on. You’ll call your ISP and then yell at them because you cannot access this specific website. Oh wait! Before you freak out and yell at your ISP, check out these websites first! These cool sites allow you to check if a website is really down, or if it’s just your computer or network.

1. Down For Everyone Or Just Me?

This website is very simple. Just enter the URL of the website you want to check if it’s down and hit Enter or click “or just me?”.

2. CheckSite.us

Just like the first one, all you have to do is enter the URL of the website you want to check and hit Enter or click “Check This Site”.

Now, if they can access the website, there’s probably a problem with your network and that’s the time you should freak out.
