How To Change The URL Of Your Facebook Profile And Fan Page

Some of my friends are asking me how to personalize the URL of their Facebook profile, and here’s the answer to their simple question.

If you have changed your username before, you won’t be able to change it anymore. Facebook only allow their users to change their username “once” so be very careful when choosing and changing it. This username allows the FB users to personalize their URL. It will appear in the location bar of your browser after “http://www.facebook.com/USERNAME” when you view your profile.

How to change the URL of your Facebook Profile:

* This is the quick-way.

1. Login to your Facebook account.

2. Go to http://www.facebook.com/username/ and set a username for your profile.

* This is the not so quick-way.

1. Login to your Facebook account.

2. Go to Account Settings and under Settings tab, scroll down to Username and click Change. Follow the on-screen directions.

Aside from your Facebook profile, you can also change the URL of your Facebook Fan Page (if you have one). Please take note that only the “Administrator “of the Facebook Fan Page can change the username.

1. Login to your Facebook account.

2. Go to http://www.facebook.com/username/ and click “Set a username for your Pages”.

3. Choose your Page from the Page Name drop down list. Set a username for your Fan Page.
