I already have this Acer Aspire One notebook with Windows 7 Starter Edition for almost a year now and I never change its wallpaper since I bought it. However, when I decided to change the wallpaper today, I couldn’t find the option. I remember I’ve seen it before when I right-click on the desktop, then the Personalize option was there where I can easily change the wallpaper. However, that feature is not available anymore probably it disappeared after I reformat my notebook. Well anyway, good thing there’s an easy way to change the desktop wallpaper in Windows 7 Starter Edition and I’ll share it with you after the break.
Let’s bring back the Personalize option. To do this:
- You need to download and install the Personalization Panel.
- Once installed, you’re supposed to see the the Personalize option when you right-click on the desktop. However, I still can not find it. If it happens to you too, just look for the Personalization Panel folder in Drive C: or wherever you saved it and double click Personalization.exe to launch the program.
- To change the wallpaper, click Desktop Background.
- You can also use Personalization Panel to personalize the theme, sounds, window color, and screen saver.
Do you know other programs or other tricks to change the wallpaper in Windows 7 Starter Edition? I’m about to include Oceanis in this post however, my anti-virus detected a malware when I tried to install it that’s why I prefer not to include it just to be safe.
