Do you want to change the boring appearance of Google Reader? Actually, you are not alone because there are a lot of people who are complaining because they cannot change its theme. However, if you search Google, you’ll find a lot of themes that can transform your boring Google Reader into an extra-ordinary RSS Reader, and I have a great list of the beautiful themes here.
Check out these 5 very beautiful Google Reader themes:
1. Lucidica
Lucidica is a userscript. It’s been tested in Chromium, Safari and Firefox. Lucidica is perfect for use with Fluid if you’re looking to integrate Reader with your desktop.
2. Google Reader: Mac OS X Snow Leopard
Style for Google Reader: elegant and slick. This style simulates the look of Mac OS X Snow Leopard. Actually the style is taken from iTunes user interface design scheme, marble, which is said to replace the aqua interface.
Helvetireader is a hosted user stylesheet for Google Reader served via a user-script. It aims to make the interface a clean, minimal experience where you’re not assaulted by an array of colours, social features and buttons (using Shortcuts instead). It’s designed for people who just read the latest entries in expanded view without all the other gubbins.
Google Redesigned originally started as a single CSS userstyle which tried to redesign Google’s Gmail service. It has since grown to incorporate Google Calendar and Google Reader, and is slowly taking on other services one by one. Google Redesigned is built for Mozilla-based browsers running the Gecko rendering engine, such as: Firefox, Flock, IceWeasel, Songbird, Prism, etc… As of this date other browsers are not supported.

5. Ninja Secret Code
This is really not a theme but this is something cool! Do you know the Ninja theme that you can apply on your Gmail? Have you seen it? If not, here’s how it looks:
If you like this theme, I’m sure you’d also want to see it on your Google Reader right? So to do this, just go to Google Reader and press: UP-UP-DOWN-DOWN-LEFT-RIGHT-LEFT-RIGHT-B-A.
Voila! It’s magic!
