There are times when we update our Firefox to the latest version, some of the add-ons installed will be automatically disabled because they’re not compatible with the latest version of the browser. I know that this is really disappointing especially if the add-ons that are not compatible are the ones which we often use. Good thing there is an extension that can fix this issue and that is Add-on Compatibility Reporter.
Add-on Compatibility Reporter is a nice Firefox/Thunderbird extension that enables incompatible add-ons for you to test if they’re still working properly with the version of Firefox/Thunderbird you’re using. If you notice that some of the add-ons do not work properly or causing your browser to crash, just open the Add-ons options and click Compatibility next to that add-on to send a report to Mozilla.
If you really want to take part in helping Mozilla or the extension developers in testing and reporting of extension compatibility, installing Add-on Compatibility Reporter is the best thing that you can do. The reports will be sent directly to Mozilla and they’ll let the developers know the issues that their users are facing so that they can do something about it.
NOTE: Mozilla recommends this add-on to Alpha and Beta users only since they’re the ones who often experience these kind of issues.
