I’ve been a big fan of Google Reader since I started to learn how to use it. However, there are still some features that are missing from it like the inline article previews which is really helpful if you subscribe to a feed that doesn’t show the complete article; only the summary. Good thing there is Better GReader, a Firefox add-on that add extra features to Google Reader.
Better GReader compiles some of the best user scripts and styles for Google Reader into one convenient interface.
Features of Better GReader:
1. Inline article previews (you can set it manually or automatically)
If you subscribe to a feed like KillerStartup’s, you’ll notice that its feed is only showing the summary so you have to click Read More and you’ll be transferred to its website before you can read the whole article.
BUT if you’re using Better GReader, you can read the complete post on the reader itself!
To do this, just go to Tools –> Add-ons –> Better GReader –> Options and under General tab, choose between Preview Item (automatically) or Preview Item by click of a button.

2. If you want to change the look of your Google Reader, you can choose from Better GReader’s skins. (Also check out the awesome list of Google Reader themes)

3. You can also use Better GReader to add color to Google Reader, hide the “X people like this” or the unread item count and many more! This add-on also allows you to auto-add feeds to Google Reader which will bypass choice between iGoogle or Google Reader when subscribing to feeds.
Better GReader is a must have add-on for all the Google Reader fans who want to add more useful features and functions to it.
Download Better GReader – and you’ll never regret it!
